Discord reorganization
The Discord is getting an overhaul. The goal is to bring more focus to the work we are doing as a community. Some channels will be archived, some others will become opt-in.
The biggest change is that we will increase the barrier to entry: nearly all channels will be accessible only to people with a DAO or Community role. The latter can be obtained via an application form, with applications being reviewed by the community. We intend for this change to bring more thoughtfulness to how new community members will participate. We also hope that this will make us as a community think more about how we can project out into the world, beyond our Discord.
We will start making the first changes in the coming week.

Community playlist workgroup
We will be curating a community playlist from the music shared across the community. A working group will be forming soon. Marcus (Discord ID: estmcmxci#3671) will be coordinating a time to discuss process and workflows.

Our Community Survey is live. The results of this survey will help to create more alignment within our community and inform the next steps we take together.

Curatorial research: next steps
Quick reset: COLORSxSTUDIOS is preparing for the production of new COLORS Shows and an editorial series in a country in South East Asia. They have kicked off their research process and are inviting the community to participate.
This means that as a community, we’d be able to contribute to the selection of artists for upcoming shows. Here are the upcoming steps:
- COLORSxSTUDIOS to spread a Typeform with COLORS’ global community (incl. the Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to gather input.
- People familiar with the local scenes and culture will start inputting data and tips with regards to this.
- As a community, we will be able to a) review and sort this info (anonymized), b) invite locals into our community, and c) find meaningful ways to interface with the COLORSxSTUDIOS curation and editorial teams.
- Our next call is next Wednesday (3pm CET -- for other timezones, please see the curatorial research channels). We will evaluate the opportunity, discuss alignment, and start imagining what gaps we can fill, what community-curated shows could look like, including revenue models.

NFT Gallery: Survey
We are conducting a survey to collectively research towards our own community NFT gallery, which can serve as a launchpad for community curated drops, seasonal mints, and in the future even integrate with irl experiences.

From July 12 to July 24 we’re featuring Ea (he/him they/them)
Ea Damaia is a transdisciplinary visual artist from Brazil. They identify as nonbinary. Their art is about spirituality, queerness, alien beings and magical worlds. They’re a lover of vibrant colors and their favorite mediums are watercolor, digital art and digital paintings. They use a powerful and colorful palette to canalize all their emotions and create their own universe. 𝘊𝘳𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 is a cosmic collection of 7 pieces created by Ea Damaia.
